Our Dear K-Way Readers,

Happy November!

A month of Thanksgiving.

The word THANK YOU in any language is a fabulous feel! Mostly we hear it in English.

Thank you is said as Nandri in Tamil and as Dhanyawad in Hindi. These words when told or heard gives immense pleasure to the people saying it and hearing it.

Thank you – two simple words yet strong enough to show your gratitude towards someone and to make the other person feel productive. It is a marvellous tool.

We should definitely thank everyone who has been a part of our lives, who has made us feel wanted.

But most importantly, I want to tell you all to go straight to the mirror and say thank you.

Yes, you deserve to thank yourself.

We at times forget our physical and mental health which are coping up with all that we do.

We take our entire body for granted.

We strain our eyes, we eat all sorts of food to trouble our gut, we put our sleep behind causing confusion to our circadian rhythm.

Is this not being mean to ourselves. Don’t we need to thank our bodies for coping with us.

So, we will first thank ourselves and be nice to ourselves.

Every cell in our body is continuously working to make sure we our functioning well.

Our duty is to maintain good lifestyle, do regular physical activities and eat healthy meals.

Thanksgiving to ourselves is by showing how much we love ourselves.

Every single organ plays a vital role and we cannot function normally if we have any small issue in our health.

Next, let’s thank a Supreme power which holds our universe, thank nature, thank the 5 elements of life – water, sky, land, wind and fire without which evolution cannot exist.

Thank our wonderful parents who consider us as babies always.

Thank our families, friends, colleagues and helpers.

November is a month which gives us an opportunity to show our compassion and care.

Have a great month ahead!

I would love to know what you think about our monthly newsletter. Feel free to give your feedback by email [email protected].

Highlights @ Kauvery

Hey, beautiful human, Festive November ready to sparkle!

The essence of life is pure joy. One such joy in life is welcoming a festival season. Our heartbeat increases as any festive season brings us happiness and joy. Happiness arises when all our five senses are activated. Festivities encourage a response in our mind regarding celebration, happiness, forgiveness, becoming spiritual, and much more.

The month of October has been full of celebrations and we cannot wait to share it with you all. As we all know, festivals add joy to our lives. We took time from our routines to celebrate Navratri. Besides commemorating the victory of good over evil, it is also a celebration of womanhood where feminity is elevated to a highly auspicious state. Three forms of the Goddess Shakti were worshipped during the festival. We displayed and decorated the dolls on seven steps to celebrate Navratri and see many happy and smiling faces around us. Every day, our doctors and employees along with a few patient attenders took part in the festivities, resulting in a lively confluence of colourful dolls, devotional songs, vedic chanting and nutritious delicacies were offered during the nine days. Wait! It does not end here.

Dance is a combination of several activities that are each good for us in their own right: exercising, listening to music, increasing your memory and connecting you with other people. It has potent benefits for our mental and physical health. Considering the same, as a part of Navratri festivities, at Kauvery- Alwarpet we had organized Garba, a form of dance. Our team of doctors, nurses and employees from various departments across the unit took part in the garba and danced their hearts out. They all were beautifully dressed and seeing them holding the dandiya sticks was so much fun and a treat to our eyes. That brings us to the end of October 2023.

Festivals are universal. It teaches us to share joy with each other. Look at life as one big and grand festival. It inspires us to count our blessings and help fellow human. When we help others, we serve ourselves. When you do so you will get a smile and a thank you, and that in itself is rewarding. Be happy. Enjoy life. Be your best self at the end of the day, live the moment. Let us together welcome November!
