Red Dragon Fruit Smoothie
A smoothie is a drink that has a vegetable or a fruit base blended with water, yogurt, milk, etc. Smoothie bowls which have a thick smoothie base topped with fruits, nuts and cereals of choice are all the rage these days. Delicious and healthy, smoothies are enjoyed by young and old alike!
Red dragon fruit, also known as pink pitaya, is loaded with magical health benefits! When it is cut open, it may either have a vivid magenta flesh or a creamy white flesh, but either way, it’s speckled with little black seeds like the ones that we see in a kiwi fruit. The dragon fruit is said to be extremely healthy, rich in vitamin C, antioxidants and phytonutrients among other beneficial substances. The red-fleshed variety certainly makes for stunning drinks and smoothie bowls!
Ingredients:
- Flesh scooped out of a dragon fruit
- Milk – ½ cup
- Ice cubes – A few depending on personal preferences
- Vanilla essence – 2 drops
Method:
This quick and refreshing smoothie is ready in a flash as all that is required is to blend all the ingredients together in a mixer and serve right away!
