Lower back pain
• Chronic – lasting for more than 6 weeks
• Acute – lasting less than 6 weeks

There are three types of back pain:-

Axial Lower Back Pain
• Most common
• Can be either sharp or dull aching pain
• Sometimes severe enough to limit movement of your back
• Worsens with repetitive activity or long sitting / prolonged sitting in one position

Lumbar Radiculopathy
• Lumbar Radiculopathy is because of compressed nerve roots
• Can be severe in the leg than in low back
• Prolonged radiculopathy will be associated with weakness and numbers

Causes of lower back pain
• Muscle strain- Due to poor core muscle strength
• Trauma – From accidents, injuries and falls
• Obesity
• Stress
• Poor Ergonomic postures in day to day activities
