Mother’s Day(Sunday, 14th May) is around the corner. Have you decided what you’re getting your mother? Are you getting her an expensive gift? Taking her out to dinner to a fancy restaurant? Great ideas, but sometimes it is the simple things that warm a mother’s heart. So, why not make this Mother’s Day a bit different?
Mothers would really appreciate not having to get out of bed early in the morning to feed the family. Why not give her breakfast in bed, or take her out for a sumptuous brunch? Do remember to clean up after you cook, and don’t leave a mess for her to clean up. Remember, it’s the small things that matter.
Does she not get time to hang out with her friends? Call some of her friends over or book movie tickets for your mom and her friends and surprise her.
Get her favourite rom-coms and curl up with her in front of the TV, with popcorn, and watch movies all day long. She’d love to spend quality time with you.
But, sometimes, mothers just want some alone time. Get out of her hair and let her have the house and the day to herself with no one bothering her. If she is a reader, make her a hamper and fill it with some snacks and soda and a book by her favourite author.
If you live out of town, the best gift for your mom on Mother’s Day is if you surprise her with a visit.
