Common causes of Neonatal and Infant deaths in India

The percentage of neonatal[1] and infant deaths in India is still high due to ignorance.

Common causes include:-

Complications of preterm birth

• Apnea – Lack of oxygen
• Respiratory distress syndrome (breathing disorder)
• Intraventricular hemorrhage (bleeding into the brain’s ventricular system)
