Paediatrics
The journey of our paediatric department over the past twenty-five years has been remarkable. Adhering to our vision “To be the most respected and trusted healthcare provider,” the growth of our paediatric department has been consistent and steady. Starting with a few beds in the general ward in 1999, we gradually evolved to establish an exclusive paediatric ward within a few years, staffed by distinguished paediatricians. By 2008, our NICU was inaugurated with a few beds and, through remarkable neonatal care, was well established by 2011.
With strong support and positive feedback, our department continued to excel. An exclusive paediatric intensive care unit was established in 2011, followed by a separate paediatric emergency wing.
We have now expanded into a 200-bedded exclusive Mother and Children’s Hospital named “Maa Kauvery” featuring an 11-bedded emergency department, 16-bedded paediatric intensive care unit (PICU), 10-bedded High Dependency Unit (HDU), 50-bedded neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), 5-bedded bone marrow, liver & renal transplant unit, and an exclusive burns care unit.
The Maa Kauvery team is very proud to be the only hospital in this region to offer comprehensive paediatric superspeciality support, with round-the-clock availability of paediatricians, neonatologists, and paediatric intensivists. We continue to move forward with a strong focus on child health. The mission of our hospital is “To make great healthcare affordable,” and we strongly adhere to it.
