Dr V. Balambighai
Brief Profile
Dr Balambighai is a proud alumnus of the prestigious Madras Medical College where she finished her undergraduate degree. Then, she completed her post-graduation in Paediatrics from Kauvery Medical Centre, Trichy, and her super-specialty training in Neurology from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. Her areas of expertise include management of stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, neuro critical care and varied paediatric neurology conditions.
She has special interest in neurorehabilitation (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavioural therapy) in adult and paediatric patients to improve their quality of life and help them to face their challenges. She has been training undergraduate, postgraduate, super-specialty, and allied health sciences students, encouraging them to publish articles in various national and international journals and helping them conduct research work in their respective fields.
