Dr. Dilip Chand Raja .S

Dr. Dilip Chand Raja is a highly respected bone, joint, and spine surgeon with over 15 years of experience. Specializing in orthopedic trauma, joint replacement, and keyhole surgery, he is one of the few spine surgeons with a nationally accredited spine fellowship (FNB-Spine surgery) and advanced training from Switzerland and Germany. Throughout his career, he has performed over 3,000 procedures.

A forward thinker, he believes minimally invasive surgery is the future, offering patients less pain after surgery and faster recovery. He has successfully handled many challenging surgeries for complex spine deformities and craniovertebral junction issues, and he specializes in scoliosis correction and endoscopic spine surgery.

Passionate about raising awareness of spinal health in older adults, he focuses on conditions like sarcopenia, osteoporosis, and pseudoarthrosis. He serves as the associate editor for the Indian Journal of Orthopedics and the Journal of Orthopedics and reviews for leading orthopedic and spine journals. Named the best reviewer for the European Spine Journal, he is also the editor of the textbook “Pediatric Scoliosis” under Springer Publications. Additionally, he organizes the annual K-Spine orthopedic quiz competition for postgraduate students in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
