Dr. Dilip’s had an interest in engineering, but was inspired to enter into the field of medicine by his elder brother. He soon found that Orthopaedic Surgery had many similarities to engineering. His desire to face more challenges led him to venture into Spinal surgeries, handling the human body’s intricate nervous system and where the accuracy level boils down to the millimetre.
A forward thinker, Dr. Dilip believes that minimally invasive surgery is the future offering patients lesser post operative pain, enhanced recovery after surgery bringing the patient to pre-disability status as early as possible. He has performed many challenging surgeries for complex rigid kyphoscoliotic spine deformities and craniovertebral junction anomalies.
He is eager to bring awareness to spinal health in aging individuals like sarcopenia, osteoporosis, pseudoarthrosis and how simple medications, exercises and surgeries such as vertebroplasty , kyphoplasty could bring a remarkable change in their lifestyle. With major advancements and expertise, spine surgery has become very safe and he wants to break the myths that elicit hesitations within people when they think of spinal surgeries.
Dr. Dilip can bring ease to any patient in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and English. In his spare time Dr. Dilip keeps fit by playing basketball, table tennis, badminton, cricket, scuba diving and paragliding.
