Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj

Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj graduated from Madras University in 1990 and then underwent postgraduate surgical training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Gujarat University Hospital for 3 years

He scored the highest marks in the MS (Orthopaedics) examination conducted by Gujarat University and was awarded the Dr. D.A. Patel gold medal in 1994.

He spent the next 15 years in Ireland and London practicing in world-renowned hospitals like Guy’s Hospital, St. Thomas’ Hospital, and King’s College Hospital, London, before returning to India in August 2010.

He is a specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in the management of fractures, sports injuries, joint replacement surgery, and keyhole surgery of the knee and shoulder. Currently, he heads the Chennai Kauvery Hospital as Executive Director and also leads the Department of Orthopaedics as the Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Future Vision:

On the Professional front, Dr. Aravindan has set himself the goal of expanding the services of the Chennai Branch of Kauvery Hospital to reach all the four corners of Chennai. He aims to open four more branches in Chennai, increasing the bed capacity from 200 to 1000.
