Dr. Iyappan Ponnuswamy

Dr. Iyappan Ponnuswamy has completed MBBS from Stanley Medical College and MD Radiodiagnosis at Madras Medical College, Chennai. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and has achieved the Prof. Arthur Daniel Gold Medal in Radiodiagnosis in 2010.

He has professional experience working in the Indian Armed Forces-Indian Navy as a patriotic physician, and he has also worked as an Assistant Professor of Radiology in Chettinad Medical College. He is a fellow of the Korean Society of Radiology, having trained in interventional radiology at Seoul National University Hospital and Yonsei University Severance Hospital in Seoul. He is a visiting scholar at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, the University of Michigan and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is now working as a full-time Radiologist in Kauvery Hospital, Chennai, with a special interest in Interventional radiology and Vascular Imaging.
