The ECHO workshop for PGs & Residents was an excellent initiative for all our post-graduates to get a hang of imaging and capturing the relevant Echo cardio graphic indices. This will make our post-graduates to upgrade out of their syllabus and give them a good lead ahead.

Dr Vishnu our DNB Resident of Nephrology department presented an interesting case of false positive Cross match in an ABO Incompatible Renal Transplant patient from Kauvery hospital in the National Conference organised by Madras Medical Mission Immunology Update. It went well and was appreciated by all the national faculty.

The Academic IMA meeting for June month was very useful. The continuous medical education at the work place is an extra boon to all clinicians.

We extend our hearty congratulations and many accolades to multi-talented academician, artist, astute and Cardiologist Dr Sundar C.

On the occasion of World Emergency Medicine Day, this year’s theme being “Your safety – Our priority” – Our Emergency Medicine dept in association with our hospital’s Restart Heart Foundation – conducted a Mass BLS and First Aid training workshop for 204 officials of the Greater Chennai Corporation of Zone 9 at Valluvar Kottam.

Lupus Symposium was conducted for our post-graduates. Kauvery hospital also had a quiz for PGs with teams from other colleges like Stanley Medical College, Saveetha Medical College, etc., participated. Our post-graduates Dr Sowmiya and Dr Pawan qualified through pre-finals.

Delighted to announce the introduction of Intra-Cardiac Echo (ICE) services @ Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet, Chennai. This is an extremely useful technology for Cardiac Electrophysiology RF Ablation & Structural Cardiac interventions. We are one of the few hospitals in the whole country to be equipped with this facility. And the first hospital to reintroduce AcuNav ICE catheter in India after a long hiatus.

On the occasion of the World Emergency Medicine Day, Kauvery hospitals launched the Basic Life Support [BLS] course in Koach.
