Welcome to the July 2017 edition of Kauvery Health and Wellness Newsletter

Kauvery has always been at the forefront when it comes to embracing innovative methods to improve efficiency in healthcare delivery. With natural and manmade disasters along with the effects of terrorism on the increase, it is critical that the healthcare industry prepares itself to deal with such incidents to minimize suffering and loss of life. In order to meet this objective we have initiated collaboration with Real First Aid, an Australian company that has a global reputation for providing the best first aid training. The staff at Kauvery, including nurses, emergency doctors and paramedics, underwent the training, under the supervision of Ben Krynski and Damien, both highly skilled paramedics from Real First Aid.

With this, we have taken our ability to deal with emergency situations to the highest level and by doing so will be able to provide state-of-the-art medical assistance to those who are worst affected by such tragedies.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Kauvery Hospital conducted a MOVES (Movement for Vitality, Energy & Stability) program for senior citizens who are able to move but suffer from neurological issues. This consisted of demonstrations of various yogic movements and poses and balance therapy to enable these seniors to improve the quality of their lives.

Elder abuse is another problem faced by many which has become a global issue. Millions of the elderly, across the world, are suffering because of it. On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day we conducted a campaign across a number of schools to increase awareness of the problem. The students of the schools we went to took a pledge to do their part in supporting Elder Abuse Awareness.
