Background

One fine day, we received an email about the QCFI (Quality Circle Forum of India), Hosur chapter, competition. That email was sent to everyone to encourage them to join the competition.

We planned and scheduled a meeting with team members, and brainstorming was done. We decided to register in two quality circles, and one Kaizen from our hospital.

We were excited to register for the QCFI competition. We started preparing for QC’s and Kaizen, and put together the new team members for the presentation.

The QCFI competition, Hosur chapter, was on October 27,2024; we dressed in Kauvery Tees, still upholding the Kauvery culture.

The presentation location was Adhiyamaan college, Hosur. We reached the location around 8’o clock to the presentation hall, and received a warm welcome from the organization team. We gave the attendance and registered at the hall.

There were around 228 slots at different halls and different sectors.  We got the tokens for whole day of meals. After we completed the breakfast, we assembled in the common hall for the opening meeting. at that meeting, the Jury and Heads shared lot of new ideas and experiences from which we learned, and were inspired.

After the opening meeting, we had different slots for presentations in service sector. We eagerly delivered our content to the Jury and neighboring companies at Hosur. We went to the presentation hall and observed everyone’s presenting skills, including how they presented, the tools and techniques they used, the topics they chose, how to overcome cost benefits, how to resolve issues, and how to address the negative aspects in their companies. I mentioned a few things there, but learned a lot from them.

After completing our presentation, we enjoyed the lunch with them sharing our thoughts. They also held Kaizen, QC’s nd QC-related quiz competitions, which were rather captivating. Specifically, the Home Kaizen concepts impressed everyone on that forum, and grabbed our interest.

Concepts of QC themes and techniques at a company level were well appreciated; we learned a lot from what they presented, It was a big platform and opportunity to promote our hospital branding.
