What is Nursing excellence?
Excellence in Nursing is defined by professional nurses who advocate for the patient in all aspects of care, and who know and employ Nursing Process and Best Practices in giving holistic, individualized attention to everyone in their care. Nursing excellence demands compassion, commitment, continuing education, practice, evidence-based outcomes, and peer review.
Nursing excellence is demonstrated when nurses are involved in promoting holistic patient-centred care, quality and innovation, education, evidence-based practice, and nursing research. It results in competent, cost-effective quality care.
How do you pursue excellence in nursing?
