NavadhanyaSundal/9 Bean Sundal
If you are trying to eat healthy then, you can have this recipe without any doubts. It’s also low in calories.
Ingredients:
- Navathaniyam or 9 mixed legumes 1 cup
- (Mixed pack is available in stores)
- Grind the items listed below coarsely
- Coconut shredded 1/4 cup
- Ginger 1” piece
- Red chillies 2
- Coriander seeds 1/2 tsp
- Jeera 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves little
- Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Method:
Wash the beans and soak them in water for 6 hours or overnight.
Cook in a pressure cooker with water and salt for 3 whistles. When cools, strain and keep the cooked beans aside.
Heat coconut oil in a deep pan over medium flame and add mustard seeds. When it splutters add the ground masala. Stir for a minute.
Add the beans to it and toss.
Remove from heat and serve.
