The month of March is here and we hear the celebrations of ‘Women’s Day’ everywhere.

I take this opportunity to wish all the women, a very Happy Women’s Day.

A woman is an important piece in life’s countless puzzles. We often forget how many roles a woman has to fill, how many hats she has to wear! A loving mother, a caring daughter and daughter in law, a composed wife, a loving sister, an efficient home maker, a super smart professional and the list goes on.

A healthy woman is the back bone of a healthy family and therefore the need to focus on her health is very important.

Ladies, remember you are the strength of your family. Spend time to care for yourself to nurture your needs with good food and healthy life styles. Rise early to make sure you have enough time to think of the day’s work, plan the menu for the children in such a way that it’s a balanced meal. Include more of green leafy vegetables and fruits in the daily diet. Cultivate the habit of eating homemade food, make it a point to have one meal with your family. Exchange your thoughts and feeling with your family members. Know what your children want, teach them moral values. Engage them with fun activities preferably away from their gadgets. A well spent day brings happiness.

Your health is very important and don’t postpone your annual health checkups. Being proactive about your own health is the need of hour in this busy life. Women should take charge of their own medical needs and visit healthcare providers for their preventive health screenings regularly.
