Popularly known among his patients for his friendly behaviour and strictly following latest evidence-based treatment, Dr Akinchan specialises in coronary and structural heart interventions and cardiovascular imaging. He is certified from the European Society of Cardiology and UEMS. He received his MBBS, MD & DM degrees from JIPMER, Puducherry, which is among the topmost institutes of India.
He believes in the holistic patient care, beyond the boundaries of cardiology. His special focus of interest is in complex cardiac interventions, advanced intra-cardiac imaging, cardiac devices, HFpEF, microvascular angina, nanotechnology in atherosclerosis and peripartum cardiomyopathy.
