Dr K. R. Prasanna Kumar - Radiation Oncologist in Chennai
Dr. Prasanna Kumar has over 15 years of experience in radiation oncology and has been treating cancer patients for several years. He is an expert in different cancer treatment procedures and specialises in the treatment of non-malignant conditions with radiation therapy, working closely with other medical specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients with cancer.

As a radiation oncologist, he is responsible for assessing the patient through clinical evaluation, and organizing imaging and other tests, in order to establish a management plan for an individual. He has experience in external beam radiotherapy techniques like 2D conventional radiotherapy, 3D CRT, IMRT, IGRT, RAPIDARC, SRT, X-KNIFE SRS, CYBERKNIFE SRS, SBRT and Brachytherapy techniques like Intracavitary, Intraluminal and Interstitial HDR Brachytherapy.

He also handles various treatment devices like Primus, Oncor, Artiste, True Beam, Cyberknife, HDR microselectron, Gamma Medplus and has worked with various planning systems like Oncentra, Eclipse, BRAINLAB, MimVista, and Multiplan Cyberknife System.
