Prof. Dr. M. M. Kavitha is a rheumatologist with over 10 years of experience in this field. She is adept at treating inflammatory arthritis, acute arthritis with intra-articular injections and autoimmune connective tissue diseases. She uses biologics and newer disease-modifying treatments, which reduce the dose and need for steroids to the bare minimum.
She is an expert in managing highly challenging cases of myositis, IgG4-related disease, and vasculitis. Her special interest lies in treating Systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) and recurrent pregnancy loss due to antiphospholipid syndrome. She is the co-editor of The Handbook: The Avant-Garde Clinical Trials in Rheumatology and has over 25 publications in reputed journals.
