Memory Loss

Memory loss or amnesia is unusual forgetfulness. The patient might not be able to recall new events or the bits from the past or both. The memory loss may be present for a short period of time and then resolve (transient) or it may not go away at all. It depends on the cause, it can get worse with time.

  • Brain infection or infection around the brain
  • Major surgery or severe illness
