Consultation

A thorough history is gained from the patient and a clinical examination is carried out to assess the breasts, armpits and surrounding areas
If you have a family history of breast troubles, try to obtain the details before your consultation
Following an examination, sometimes you may be advised to:
- Review for a follow up consultation
- Ultrasound of the breast if you are below 40 years of age
- Mammogram and ultrasound if you are above 40 years of age
- Sometimes, imaging is followed by a core biopsy for diagnosis
If you have done tests prior to your consultation, kindly bring all written reports and image films along with you for the consultation
