Dr. Priya is a highly accomplished pathologist and a Gold Medalist in MD Pathology from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. With a strong foundation in pathology, she has undergone advanced histopathology training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, UK. Dr. Priya further honed her expertise through a year of clinical and translational research at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, USA, where she focused on the immunoprofiling of tumors and the tumor microenvironment in various malignancies, including breast and lung cancers.
Her contributions to cancer research include building numerous Tissue Microarrays (TMAs) for breast in situ and invasive malignancies. Dr. Priya has authored over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts in leading international journals, showcasing her dedication to advancing the field of pathology.
Her areas of expertise include oncopathology, breast pathology, intraoperative consultations, immunoprofiling of tumors, and the evaluation of prognostic and predictive biomarkers in immunotherapy and targeted therapies. She is also deeply involved in assessing the tumor microenvironment to provide comprehensive insights for personalized cancer treatments.
