Brief Profile:

Dr. Swathi T is an Associate Consultant – Neurology in Kauvery Institute of Brain and Spine. She has been trained at various prestigious institutions across India. Having graduated from Government Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, she pursued her MD in General Medicine from Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi and DM in Neurology from the prestigious Institute of Neurology, Madras Medical College, Chennai. She has worked as a Senior Resident at the Central Institute – JIPMER, Pondicherry.

She has been extensively trained in Stroke ICU and Neuro respiratory ICU, trained in treating window period thrombolysis for stroke, myasthenic crisis, GBS and neurological emergencies and has extensively done ward procedures like lumbar puncture, Botox for spasticity of the limbs, blepharospasm, and hemifacial spasm.

She has expertise in treating various conditions in the field of Neurology like Stroke, Headache, Seizure, Dementia, Demyelinating disorders, Spinal cord disorders, Movement disorders, Neuropathy, Muscle disorders, Myasthenia Gravis, neurological problems associated with diabetes, and the like.

She has presented rare case reports in the fields of immunology, neuro-ophthalmology, and stroke at various conferences. She has also published a case report on dumbbell neurofibroma in the International Journal of Medicine.
