Brief Profile:

Dr Sindhu Sivanandan has experience in the management of extreme preterm neonates, neonates with congenital malformations, hydrops, pulmonary hypertension, etc. in the NICU. She is trained in neonatal ventilation, including high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, dialysis, umbilical and peripherally inserted central lines, arterial lines, neonatal resuscitation, and exchange transfusion.

She developed and coordinated NICU services, including nurses’ training in neonatal care. She is involved in neurodevelopmental follow-up. As a trained doctor in the DASII and Bayley assessment scales, she coordinated with a team of paediatric neurologists, physiotherapists, and speech-language pathologists to provide developmental assessment and early intervention services for children with developmental delay, autism, and cerebral palsy.
