Dr Archana Ashwin is an accomplished Consultant Microbiologist with extensive experience in laboratory management, research, and teaching. She has 8 years experience in management of Autoimmune disorders, Transplant Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bacteriology, Mycology, Serology, Allergy, Infection and Prevention Control. Strong background in various diagnostic platforms, including Biomerieux, BioRad, Xpert-Cepheid. Bio-Fire (FilmArray) and EuroImmune.
Dr Archana has extensive experience in Immunofluorescence, ELISA,VIDAs, Roche automation and other related methods. She has worked in tertiary care multispecialty hospital and leading transplant Centre for heart, lung, liver and kidney.
Dr Archana has contributed significantly to the establishment and reporting of COVID RT PCR lab results.
She is a proven expertise in NABH, NABL and JCI Accreditations.
Throughout her career she has held leadership roles, such as chairperson of infection control, overseeing all sections of the laboratory biochemistry, hematology and clinical pathology and ensuring quality control measures.
