Knee Joint Preservation Surgeries

Comments

Knee joint preservation term is increasingly used for procedures which aims to either avoid or postpone joint replacement surgery.

These include surgeries for meniscus/ligament injuries, cartilage or realignment procedures such as high tibial osteotomy.

This paper from Kauvery ECB, explains this concept put in practice very well.

The paper educates referral doctors, Ortho and other speciality consultants on availability of these interventions at the appropriate time in symptomatic patients.

I congratulate the authors on demonstration of their good surgical technique and outcome.

I recommend the authors to show long leg films when showing realignment procedures and functional outcomes
