Our Kauvery Team recently went for the 7th Edition of CAHOCON 2023 held in Novotel Hyderabad. The theme of the conference was ” Leadership is the key to quality”

It was a delightful experience, an eye opening revelation on how leadership plays a key role in improving as well as sustaining quality.

The theme of leadership being the key to quality is an important one, as strong leadership can have a significant impact on the success of an organization, especially when it comes to quality improvement. The conference was filled with many innovative ideas on improving the quality. The best part was that both old school type of management methods as was well futuristic digital innovative ideas were discussed on the platform, which was the highlight of the conference

The session stressed on building a culture of quality and safety, as well as leadership styles and practices, as especially important as they can have a significant impact on the overall success of a healthcare organization.

The conference kicked off with “How to build a Culture of Quality & Safety”, followed by LEADS, which stands for ‘Healthcare Leadership Learning from Other Industries,’

Several Accreditations were discussed at the forum such as NABH, JCI, EQuIP7. Such accreditations are important as they can help ensure that healthcare organizations are meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.

Some creative team names such as Change Enablers, Pot Pourri etc attracted the delegates attention.

It was also interesting to hear about the various tools and models that could be used such as analytics tools, the ERICPD tool, the Likert Management System, Streamlining Supply Chain System, One Size Fits for all approach, Person Centred approach and the Home Enteral Nutrition Model. These tools and models can be useful in improving processes and outcomes in healthcare.

Effective utilization of advanced robotic technology in the field of gastroenterology was discussed. ex: Endoscopic appendectomy

CAHOCON EXPO also showcased innovative and interesting products like the audience photo printed calendar and slow-motion portable 360degree vending machine. These types of products can be engaging and eye-catching, and may also have practical applications in healthcare settings.

It’s always exciting to see how technology and innovation can be used to improve healthcare and patient outcomes. Conferences like CAHOCON provide a valuable platform for healthcare professionals to learn about these new products and technologies and to see how they can be incorporated into their work

  • Best Clinical Audit
  • Best Research Publication in Quality

Congratulations to the Chennai unit for being shortlisted for the CAHOCON competition and to Ms. Santhiya and Ms. Margreat Monalisa for their participation in the best clinical audit and video presentation categories!

It was impressive that the Chennai unit was able to make it through the online assessment and compete among the 600 participants across the 6 categories. This is a great achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team.

Presenting their own medication audit is a great way for the team to showcase their commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.

Their video presentation on the theme “Leadership is the Key to Quality & Patient Safety” was also a great opportunity to share their insights and experiences with others in the field.

Participating in competitions like this can be a great way to learn and grow as healthcare professionals, as well as to connect with others who share the same passion for quality improvement in healthcare.

Kauvery Hospital, Bangalore unit was awarded with CAHO – 3M Awareness Compliance Excellence for CSSD on the Medium Category of the South region.

Such presentations are great opportunities for healthcare professionals to share their research and ideas with others in the field. ‘Lightning talks’ are a quick and engaging way to present information and may be especially useful for conveying important information in a short amount of time

The video presentation and debates were an interesting way to showcase quality improvement initiatives and may be particularly useful for demonstrating the impact of these initiatives on patient outcomes

The award categories in Quality provide a way to recognize and celebrate the hard work and achievements of healthcare professionals who are committed to improving the quality of care for their patients.

Overall, it’s great to see that CAHOCON provides a platform for healthcare professionals to share their knowledge, ideas, and research on quality improvement in such a wide range of formats
