Gynaecomastia

Gynaecomastia is when males develop breast tissue due to an imbalance in their hormones. Commonly, this does not require any further treatment. If the individual wishes to have it removed, surgical excision can be done. Men can also get breast cancer and hence will need to have any changes or growth assessed with a clinical breast examination, mammogram and ultrasound. Depending on the findings, you may be advised for a biopsy.
