For the FIRST time, we open with a cover page! We have placed the tender and delicate hands and heart of a growing person in the hands of a grown – up!

This is to announce the FIRST case report to be published by us on pediatric cardiology, along with a guest editorial on Congenital Heart Disease.

The case report is from Drs. Maniram Krishna, Suraj Narasimhan and Karuppiah. The guest editorial comes from Dr. Maniram.

We proudly present the FIRST ‘super- fast tracked’ report in the KAUVERIAN, on the FIRST successful administration in the state, of Monoclonal Antibodies Cocktail for treating COVID 19, at Kauvery Chennai. The authors are Drs Anita Ramesh, Andrew C Fenn, Sivarama Kannan and Ezhilan Naganathan

We publish the FIRST case report from Orthopedics, from Dr. Chockalingam – on a FIRST time cautionary on how lightly we take child safety in our automobiles, and highlighting its potentially and predictably dire consequences.

We bring you the FIRST ‘patient’s story to come from a Consultant, Dr. Manjunath Gopal, which is certain to strike a chord in your heart. Its message is simple and direct ” The patient is always right!”

Another FIRST is the first diagnostic image publication of COVID Nails! This image has come from the patient who is now in a hospital, and his son.

We have two FIRST- time writers from ECB- Drs Nagesh and Mohan report on a patient with Eclampsia and HELLP Syndrome

Dr. Pritika Chary is back with her signature page, giving us a Neurology update.

Kiruba is also back with the next article in her series on Hospital Management.

Kaanthal Manikandan is at her intriguing best with her poem” Humanity’ s most cherished fiction.”
