First time Pediatric pacemaker successfully implanted in Trichy at Kauvery Heartcity
Trichy doctors at Kauvery Heartcity, Trichy successfully completed in implanting an adult pacemaker to a 3-year-old-child. Weighing only 13 kg the child had a Complete Heart Block after Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) surgery which was done one year back in an outside hospital. She was implanted with an Epicardial pacemaker but it failed to work. The change from Epicardial pacemaker into an adult type pacemaker was risky and she was denied the surgery by many hospitals.
