Kauvery Hospital Hosur Launches New Specialities
13th September 2018, Hosur: Kauvery Hospital, a hospital chain with a presence in Trichy, Chennai, Hosur, Karaikudi and Salem has inaugurated new specialities at its Hosur unit.
Kauvery Hospital Hosur, housing 125 beds, has super speciality departments like Cardiology and Cardiothoracic surgery, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Urology and Neurology, apart from specialities such as General Medicine, Emergency & Trauma, Ortho, Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
In an extension of its health care services, Kauvery Hospital Hosur opened a state-of-the-art ENT facility offering high-end procedures which include Cochlear Implant with full-fledged audiology services like Audiometry, Tympanometry, BERA, Speech Therapy and hearing aid centre. The hospital also inaugurated a full-fledged set up on Dental and Eye Care.
Tamil Nadu’s Minister of Youth Welfare & Sports Mr. P. Balakrishna Reddy inaugurated the new facilities, along with the presence of Sub-collector Mr. Vimalraj, JMD of Kauvery Hospitals Dr. S. Manivannan, and Executive Directors of the hospital Dr. S. Vijayabaskaran and Dr. P. D. Aravindan. Medical Administrator Dr. Nageshkumar and ENT Surgeon Dr. Anbuchezhian welcomed the gathering.
With the launch of the new specialities, Kauvery Hospital becomes the only centre within 100 kilometres radius around Hosur, to offer Cochlear Implantation facilities and an in-house surgeon to address congenital and old-age hearing loss. The first cochlear implant at the hospital was performed on a 60 year-old man, and after switching on the implant after a few days, it was noticed that his hearing has improved significantly.
