Our Dearest Readers,

KWAY, Kauvery Wellness Way, welcomes you all to the bright first day of March 2024.

As proud as I am to be an Indian, I am also equally proud to be a Kauverian!

Kauvery is a place where women are treated with respect; a work place with high ethical grounds and women safety protocols. A place which not only speaks about women empowerment but has also put the words into actions.

Kauvery has the ability to inspire, motivate and increase the action potential of every woman under her roof. Kauvery not only focusses on the work-life balance of a woman, but also emphasises on the importance of physical and mental health balance in every woman staff here.

Now, it’s time I break the suspense. Why are my 1st few lines highlighting women at Kauvery?

Yes, you are right. It is Women’s Day on 8th March and on behalf of all the women workers at Kauvery Hospitals I take this opportunity to thank our Founders.

A special thanks to our respected administrators for the immense safety and care extended to every woman staff at our work place.

Past hundred years have definitely seen a vast change in the outlook of a woman’s life. Thanks to all the educational institutions available today which have given an identity to women.

So, first and foremost, every woman needs to have a basic education which will help her to think individually and she needs to pursue a career which will help her to live independently.

Next, as a family physician, I would like to emphasize that women need to focus on their physical and mental health. Most of the time, an inbuilt sacrifice is seen in women. They compromise on their health due to a sense of compulsion and satisfaction.

This is mostly because of a lack of support system, a lack of awareness of help available, a lack of eagerness to balance time and taking their health for granted. Living with compromise finally results in an outburst which is due to mental fatigue most of the time.

Women need to understand that there are physical, hormonal and biological changes throughout their lives and at every stage these changes influence their physical and mental health.

Therefore, regular medical check-ups at different stages of a woman’s life are definitely recommended.

For example, anemia from heavy menstrual loss can make her physically weak. Similarly, restriction of mobility during active years of life due to early osteoarthritis can be really depressing. Hormonal changes can lead to premenstrual stress in young women. Last, but not the least, breast and cervical cancers left unnoticed can take a toll on the family’s wellness.

Hence, I kindly request all women to have a routine screening once a year.

Here in Kauvery, we are ready to extend our guidance to all the womenfolk out there. Especially every March, we extend our support programs for creating awareness about women’s health.

Kindly visit our website or call 40006000 for more details.

To all the wonderful women out there, Kauvery Hospitals wishes you all a healthy and happy Women’s Day ahead.

I would love to know what you think about our monthly newsletter. Feel free to give your feedback via WhatsApp +91 98406 47533 or by email communication@kauveryhospital.com.

Have you ever experienced mind blossom by shifting your thoughts over to the simpler things? Just give a break to your busy brain by taking a moment to look around you to enjoy positivity.

For Kauverians, February 2024 was a remarkable month. A month of achievement. Any guesses. The theme for this year is “Inspire Inclusion”. This means, women worldwide must be included in all fields of endeavour. We are actually planning for a big celebration here at Kauvery to inspire and respect the women workforce and we are excited to live in that moment.

“Colours of Joy: A Tale of Connection with a Child’s Heart”

Ms. Sofia Roseline
Ms. Sofia Roseline
Service Excellence

“Red, Yellow, purple?!” The exclamation hung in the air, it marked the beginning of a conversation with one of my sweetest patients, an eight-year-old girl whose spirit radiated joy and curiosity. The day unfolded beautifully at my work as I found myself in the company of an eight-year-old child. It’s moments like these that I cherish the most- spending quality time with the patients who are essentially kids at heart. Their innocence and enthusiasm infuse each encounter with pure joy and remind me why I chose this path of caring for others.

And this girl was an energy bomb! She couldn’t wait to jump out of her bed and start her day as soon as possible. Her enthusiasm was contagious and filled the room with excitement. Little did I know through the conversation with her mother, being a lively kid, she used to play a lot and loved spending time at the park, enjoying every moment of it.

Unfortunately, one day she ended up hurting herself while playing. It’s true that play can sometimes turn risky. This incident landed her in the hospital, which was quite an unfamiliar environment for such a super active kid. Despite the incident, she only had to stay in the hospital for two days. Thanks to the doctor’s treatment, she recovered remarkably quickly. The doctor’s care and dedication inspired her so much that she now dreams of becoming a doctor herself in the future.

During my rounds, I noticed that she seemed bored because she couldn’t go to school or leave the hospital. To brighten the situation, I initiated a conversation with her to understand her interests and aspirations. At first, she remained silent, perhaps unsure of why I was asking about her interests. She might have been wondering what I intended to do with the information. To break the ice, I offered her the option of playing board games or doing some coloring. In that moment, I witnessed her face light up with enthusiasm, her eyes sparked with joy. I decided to offer her some coloring sheets and set of colors. Together, we began to color a beautiful princess, and she was boosted with full enthusiasm.

Her curiosity and enthusiasm with the paints and coloring reminded me of my childhood days when I used to immerse myself in art with the same level of interest that she showed, it was a nostalgic reminder of simple joy and wonders. As the girl and I colored and chatted, her mother, initially lost in her thoughts, started to pay attention. Intrigued, she joined us, helping her daughter to choose colors and offering inputs. It became a heartwarming moment of shared creativity and connection.

In the canvas of our shared moments, it became evident: children are truly blessings from above. Their boundless energy, innocence, and capacity to inspire joy and gifts that illuminate our lives. As we colored and connected, it was a gentle reminder of the extraordinary grace that children bring into our world, weaving threads of love, and wonder into every interaction, enriching our journey with their radiant spirits and boundless love.

Inauguration of Kauvery Cervical Cancer Screening Programme: A Milestone for Women’s Health

Kauvery Hospital takes a giant leap towards women’s health with the launch of the Kauvery Cervical Cancer Screening Programme. The initiative, inaugurated by Hon’ble Amber Jade, Minister of Health, Western Australia, underscores Kauvery Hospital’s commitment to addressing the alarming issue of cervical cancer and promoting equitable access to healthcare services.

Cervical cancer remains a significant global health concern, claiming numerous lives each year. Despite the World Health Organization recommending a minimum of 70% screening for women, only 1.9% undergo cervical cancer screening in India. In alignment with this mission, Kauvery Hospital has strategically organized screening campaign within hospital premises as well as weekly screening camps at the community level, where it is offered free of charge.
