Dr. R. Vishnu Abishek

Brief Profile:

Dr. Vishnu Abishek Raju is a specialist in therapeutic endoscopy with years of training and teaching experience. In the period between 2015 and 2019, he served as an assistant professor of gastroenterology at PSGIMSR in Coimbatore and St John’s Medical College in Bangalore. His endoscopy skills include diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy, third-space endoscopy, ERCP, and EUS.

He received advanced third-space endoscopic training, including POEM, EMR, and ESD, from West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. His famous endoscopic gastrojejunostomy procedure in Coimbatore was the first of its kind. Advanced ERCP, EUS-guided bile duct intervention, and pancreatic endotherapy are his areas of expertise. Having specialised in the early endoscopic dissection of GI malignancies and the early diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers, Dr. Vishnu is regarded as one of Chennai’s top gastroenterologists.
