Brief Profile
Dr. Shriram Varadharajan is a Neuroradiologist who completed his education at prestigious institutions such as Madras Medical College, PGIMER & Dr. RML Hospital, and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS). He has worked previously as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiodiagnosis (Neuroimaging) between 2016-18 and as the lead consultant for Neuroradiology from 2018 to 22. He helped establish the division of neuroimaging and was the first to start advanced neuroimaging studies (fMRI) in Coimbatore.
He specialises in clinical and advanced neuroimaging, with an emphasis on brain and spine studies, with a combined value and evidence-based approach. He is the founder member of vebinars (an online neuroimaging platform). He is actively involved in teaching and academics.He has over 30 national and international publications and book chapters.
He is also interested in stroke systems of care optimisation, including pre-hospital work, telestroke, physician and paramedical training, acute remote triage selection, imaging, interventions, stroke unit care assessments, assisted discharge, and rehabilitation discussions with an emphasison improvement of quality metrics showing holistic interest across the spectrum of its interventions backed by his fellowship training and international accreditations.
