Brief Profile

Dr Vidya Karpagam is a proud alumnus of the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, where she completed her post-graduation in Physiology. She is also the alumnus of Madurai Medical College where she finished her undergraduate degree. She has held various key positions such as Medical Officer (Emergency Room) and Assistant Professor in reputed hospitals in a career spanning nearly 9 years.

She has 11 years of experience in women and children health along with diabetology consultation. She has handled classes for Medical, Dental and Allied Health courses for 7 years, and is interested in pursuing academics, working for research proposals, attending conferences, and giving paper presentations.

Her areas of expertise include handling outpatient services and normal deliveries, handling emergencies in the ER department, handling inpatient services of the Internal Medicine department, and performing patient care services in Autonomic Lab (Autonomic Function Testing and Tilt Table Studies), Electrophysiology Lab (Nerve Conduction Studies, EMG, VEP, BERA), and Pulmonary Testing Lab (PFT). Dr Vidya has completed a Guided ICMR STS research project.
