2020 had been an extraordinary year for everyone in the world, more so for people working in the healthcare. Who would have imagined at the beginning of the year that our perception about everything in life would have changed forever by the end of the year.

Kauvery’s experts were one of the first ones to predict the impending pandemic as early as January and our team was fully prepared to handle the looming crisis that the healthcare industry will face once in a century. We worked round the clock from February itself, first to secure the essential supplies like gloves, N 95 masks, sanitisers, PPE etc and then ensuring that all our frontline staff were fully trained to handle the overwhelming flow of patients later.

Since we were fully prepared when the pandemic hit India, we could clearly observe the Covid disease pattern as it started to evolve and spread. Our specialists quickly developed the disease management protocols, which was presented in international webinars and later followed in several countries. While managing Covid patients separately in isolation blocks, we never stopped any other medical and surgical services and this has helped us to earn enormous appreciation and gratitude from the society in general.

By being in the frontline battle against this once in a lifetime pandemic crisis, every single Kauvery staff and I feel that we have served and achieved our purpose in life. As Kauvery enters the third decade since its inception, the organization has demonstrated its resilience and also reconfirmed its commitment to its vision, mission and values in the service of the people.

My inner feeling is that we are all going to have a great and fantastic year 2021, where all our dreams and wishes will come true. Wish you all a very wonderful, healthy and Happy New year 2021.
