Children are completely ‘new and different individuals’ in themselves. Appreciate them for what they are!
They are vulnerable to infections in the first few years of life.
Building a robust immune system right from an early age is the key.
It starts with breastfeeding for up to 2 years, introducing a healthy diet comprising vegetables and fruits and avoiding junk foods.
Avoid introducing gadgets to children (iPad/computer/laptop/TV screens). It has short as well as long-term implications on the vision, language, social and brain development of the child.
Many infections can only be prevented by vaccination as there is no cure (e.g., polio, tetanus, etc.). Give your child vaccines on time.
Positive parenting techniques work very well. Maintain an open communication channel with your child always!
