Our Dear K-Way Readers,

Welcome to the month of July. Let us hope the peak heat of summer has passed by!

Today is very a special day for all the doctors of India!

July 1st celebrates and acknowledges the service of, every doctor in our nation who has embraced this field with passion and principles and with the determination to serve, and heal, the injured and the ill.

India celebrates this day in memory of a remarkable and incredibly capable physician, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, who was also a much revered and respected Chief Minister of West Bengal.

India’s highest professional rec

ognition bestowed on a doctor is the BC Roy National Award.

On behalf of Kauvery Hospitals, we wish all the doctors of this great country a happy and healthy life.

Health is wealth.

A person who is able to get back good health from the grip of sickness is so much more fortunate than the one who regains lost wealth.

The doctor is your ‘Good Samaritan’ who sees your parched tongue and places on your trembling hands the elixir of life.

The doctor of today is your partner in the struggle to regain your lost health.

The doctor of today plans for you, with you.

The doctor of today is all set to engage in “shared decision-making” with you.

Doctors are not here to judge, argue or blame; they are trained to instinctively, competently and confidently take responsibility for your health.

With empathy and complete understanding, they help you to heal.

You would hear from them gentle reminders that fast foods damage the gut, alcohol causes cirrhosis of the liver, tobacco causes cancer, sedentary life invites cardiac ailments and sleep deficits affect mental health, and warns you about, many pathogens and advice about vaccinations.

Think kindly and fondly of your doctor today and every day.

Give us the opportunity to be your trusted family doctor whatever be your ailment and whatever our specialty be.

Making decisions for patients every day of their life impacts doctors greatly, and inflicts both stress and exhaustion.

Many get burned out. That happened substantially during COVID.

We request you to ‘Go gentle into the night’ every day, wishing your doctor well.

Let us awake with a will to win good health and a happy life for all of us.

This month, along with the informative and enjoyable articles, we also share some interesting and entertaining talents of our doctors, all for you, to enjoy!

I would love to know what you think about our monthly newsletter. Feel free to give your feedback  by email [email protected].

Welcome to the month of July. We’ve got something super special happening this month. Drumroll, please! On July 1st, it’s Doctors’ Day! Woohoo! Let’s give a big shoutout to all the incredible doctors out there. How lucky we are to work side by side with them in the field of healthcare, witnessing their awe-inspiring work firsthand!

Have you ever had the privilege of observing a doctor in action? It’s an experience like no other. They move with purpose, a blend of grace and urgency, their footsteps echoing dedication and compassion. Being in the presence of these medical superheroes is a humbling and inspiring experience. They work long hours, sacrificing their own rest and comfort to ensure the well-being of others. Despite the challenges they face, they wear smiles on their faces, offering a comforting presence that eases our worries.

So, dear readers, as we celebrate Doctors’ Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the extraordinary individuals who have touched our lives. Reach out to them, even if it’s with a simple heartfelt message, and let them know how grateful you are for their presence in your life. A kind message or a warm smile can go a long way in brightening their day and letting them know how much their efforts mean to us.

In the spirit of gratitude, we also have something special in store for you. Today, we want to share a heartfelt story from Sofia, our service excellence champion. The story touched our hearts, and we hope they have the same profound effect on you.

Sending you loads of love and wishing you a fantastic July!

Finding Inspiration in the Face of Adversity

It was an ordinary day, just like any other, until a remarkable encounter completely brightened my world. There he was, a young man exuding intelligence and charm, sporting an infectious smile that radiated warmth and joy. Despite grappling with the challenges of leukemia, he wore an unyielding spirit, never allowing his illness to cast a shadow on his radiant face.

As part of my daily routine, I visited him every day, striving to provide excellent service and support. Through our daily conversations, I discovered that he hailed from a small village and was in Chennai pursuing MBA, which happened to be my own background as well. During our interactions, we delved into the depths of his project, and I gladly assisted him with data analysis, offering valuable insights to enhance his work. We would often exchange ideas, sharing my research and providing him with inspiration. His enthusiasm and gratitude made these discussions truly productive.

I soon realized that his unwavering strength was a testament to the unwavering support of his parents. His mother, in particular, emerged as a beacon of motivation, constantly at his side. I distinctly recall a lighthearted moment when I asked him if he enjoyed reading books, and his mother interjected with a mischievous chuckle, exclaiming, “Oh no, he doesn’t even read his college books!” Her infectious laughter filled the room.

During this time, the Indian Premier League (IPL) was in full swing, and he fervently cheered for the Chennai Super Kings. Little did I know that the day of his discharge held a profound revelation. It was then that I learned of his elder brother’s recent passing, succumbing to the very same disease that he was also fighting. This revelation shook me to the core, as it became apparent that neither the patient nor his family displayed their immense pain outwardly.

Instead, they exuded an extraordinary warmth and love that embraced everyone within the hospital’s walls.

Witnessing their unyielding happiness despite the weight of their suffering transformed my perspective on life. As an adult, I often find myself preoccupied with trivial concerns. However, in the presence of this remarkable individual, I discovered a profound truth: “Don’t let go of your smile.” Life’s impermanence reminds us not to fret over the small things. We are not alone in our struggles, and by adopting a lighthearted approach, we can become a source of joy for others. Through the unwavering strength and love displayed by this young man and his family, I have found the inspiration to face life’s challenges with a smile.
