BACK TO SCHOOL

Hello friends …as we say good bye to our summer vacations and enter the “back to school” season …. its kind of exciting for both parents and kids to go back to their routine after vacation.

For parents of Kindergarten children: Don’t be so anxious! After all you went to school at the same age and your parents were hardly fussy. Remember one thing dear parents, schooling is one of the most important phase in a child’s life. Over pampering is not good for them. Children can mould themselves and adjust easily but as parents leave the child to learn things the hard way. Teach them and guide them to plan the day’s work. Make them pack their school bags and polish their shoes the previous day. Teach them personal hygiene – to keep their nails clean and hand hygiene before and after snacking.

Snacks should be only homemade and healthy. You can send them interesting snacks like sandwiches, veggie roll, Boiled channa or corn. Cut fruits may change colour and look un appealing. Some children may have nut allergy so avoid sending nuts to school. It is nice to share and eat but the child should be taught not to share half eaten food.

Protect your children but don’t pamper them!

As much as possible take turns to drop and pick your child. Never send your child alone to school or with an unknown person.

Schooling is a beautiful experience for every child. The discipline, respect for others, punctuality, personal hygiene which develops during school days is what lasts till our lifetime.

So dear parents enjoy your children going to school. Let it be a pleasure for them and not peer pressure.
