Dear Readers,
Let us welcome this new month with enthusiasm.
September is special as it celebrates Teachers Day.
A person who is of utmost importance to inculcate good morals and values in our lives.
For doctors…our patients are our teachers. Every patient’s history teaches us to improve our knowledge.
May all our patients have a healthy recovery, and we really thank them for their continued support.
As medical professionals, we interact with so many people from different walks of life. Sometimes, this exposure helps us to think better, become wiser and feel blessed.
Now we are also our own teachers and mentors.
We often teach gratitude to others. We feel we owe a lot to people who have helped us in our lives. We feel guilty about not being able to help someone in need. Well, all these are important no doubt.
But let us first understand that we owe a lot to ourselves – we must thank our organs and look after them. The sense organs, teach us to see, to hear, to feel, to taste, to think, etc.
The endocrine organs, our bones, muscles, nerves, and every system in our body are working for us and teaching us to walk to talk. All our emotions teach us to be happy, sad, angry, etc.
These are wonderful teachers, aren’t they?
Why can’t we spend a few minutes to feel grateful for them?
We don’t give them the right sleep, the right food, or the right thoughts. Value for life only comes when the cost of an organ is discussed during transplant. The cost of living is always discussed in terms of assets and properties, which are of course essential, but the cost of a healthy mind and body is never realized until one falls sick.
We push our brains to cope with a multitude of thoughts, but life is actually so simple. A simple living is what is missing and the fear of missing out is the new living.
I know it’s confusing dear readers.
Missing out is the new vocabulary in today’s world. There was once a saying – Out of Sight is Out of Mind. Yes, people feel if you are out of social media, you are extinct. This fear of missing out constantly makes them share their minute-to-minute activities which only results in stress and non-productivity. Sharing reels and living in reels has become a reality.
Well, the anguish is not going to end as that’s the new evolution but let’s keep in mind that as responsible elders we need to teach our younger generations to balance life healthily.
Have a great month ahead.
I would love to know what you think about our monthly newsletter. Feel free to give your feedback via email [email protected].

Highlights @ Kauvery
Hello Kauverians! This is SUPER SEPTEMBER!
Super September is here, bringing with it the special occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, which celebrates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, and Ganesh Chaturthi, which marks the birth of Lord Ganesha. We cannot forget the excitement we felt in our early days for having Kollukattai’s during Chaturthi, can we? As we embrace this meaningful month, let’s reflect on the values of compassion and service that define both our hospital and these important celebrations. With just four months left until 2025, it’s a perfect time to renew our commitment to excellence and care at Kauvery. Let’s make every moment of this September count!
Before that, let’s look at how August was for us. We marked Independence Day on August 15 by honouring a military veteran under our care. The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to his bravery and service, with hospital staff and other attendees joining in to express their gratitude. The event was filled with moments of reflection and appreciation for the sacrifices made by our armed forces. This special day reminded us all of the courage and resilience embodied by our veterans, inspiring a renewed commitment to serving those who have served our nation.
We are thrilled to share that we have achieved the 5S Sustenance Level 1 certification, a significant milestone on our path to becoming a model hospital. This achievement is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our entire team, who have committed to maintaining high standards of organization and continuous improvement. More importantly, these efforts are directly enhancing the care we provide, ensuring that every patient who comes through our doors experiences a smoother, more compassionate journey. This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week this year, we embraced the theme “Breastfeeding Support for All, Closing the Gap” through a series of engaging competitions. Our dedicated nurses also reached out to the gypsy community with a heartfelt role play, extending our awareness program to ensure that every mother, regardless of background, receives the support she needs. These efforts highlight our commitment to inclusivity and education, working to bridge gaps and foster a supportive environment for breastfeeding everywhere.
What is interesting in the month of September?
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in September to honor Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. “Just like Lord Ganesha clears obstacles for new beginnings, let our hospital be the remover of hurdles to good health. This Ganesh Chaturthi, let’s dedicate ourselves to healing with compassion, ensuring every patient’s journey is smooth and obstacle-free. Health and healing — that’s the ultimate blessing we can offer!”
After all the yummy Kollukattai’s, we celebrate World Heart Day in the last week of September, we are looking to have many activities and events to raise awareness of cardiovascular health to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
As we embrace the spirit of September, let’s remember to take care of ourselves and those around us. By nurturing our own well-being and extending compassion to others, we can collectively foster a healthier and more supportive community. Happy September to you!
A Journey of Resilience: The Inspiring Recovery of a Young Model
Dear readers sometimes life can take unexpected turns, and we find ourselves facing challenges we never thought possible. That’s exactly what happened with a 26-year-old model whose life changed dramatically due to a serious illness.
The 26-year-old girl was admitted with a complaint of mild fever but quickly it turned into something much more severe. The young woman, once full of energy and excitement, ended up in the hospital with constant seizures and memory loss. She couldn’t even recognize her own parents and could only remember the medical staff caring for her. What was supposed to be a short hospital stay stretched into weeks and then months.
As I made my daily rounds in the hospital, I got the chance to connect with her. Our shared love for makeup and fashion helped bridge the gap between us. Even though she was struggling, she would ask me to do her makeup, and our talks about beauty routines became something she looked forward to. She would ask everyone who visited her if she looked beautiful, showing her strong spirit and positive attitude.
Her path to recovery was not easy. As someone who understands the challenges of being young, I could relate to her struggles. However, with advanced treatment and great effort from the medical team, she slowly regained her memories and reconnected with her family. The fever that started small turned into a long and tough battle, but her strength and the care she received helped her get back to her old self.
Dear readers our life might throw difficult situations at us, and they can sometimes seem grave, but how we navigate through these journeys defines our resilience. As she puts it, it’s not about how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward”.
Now, she comes back for regular check-ups and often stops by to visit the staff who helped her. Her story is a powerful example of how strong the human spirit can be and how important good care is. It has been a privilege to see her make such an incredible recovery.
